Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have multiple logbooks?
Yes. You can create separate logbooks for each license or format. For example, maintain an EASA Part-FCL logbook for your European flying and a separate FAA 14 CFR 61.51 logbook for your US certificate. Each logbook tracks its own totals, currency, and formatting independently.
How do digital signatures work?
When a flight entry requires an instructor endorsement, you send a signature request to your instructor. They review the entry details and sign it using their personal 6-digit PIN. The signature is cryptographically secured with HMAC-SHA256 and includes a timestamp, making it tamper-proof and verifiable.
Is my flight data safe?
Absolutely. All flight data is stored in encrypted databases with daily backups. The platform is GDPR compliant, hosted in Europe, and you can export or delete all your data at any time. We never share your flight records with third parties.
Can I import my existing logbook?
Yes. You can import flights from CSV or JSON files. We support common formats from ForeFlight, LogTen Pro, and other popular logbook applications. Each imported entry is validated and can be reviewed before being added to your logbook.
What's the difference between EASA and FAA format?
The main differences are in time recording (block vs Hobbs), PIC logging rules (acting PIC vs sole manipulator), night definitions (ECAC vs sunset/sunrise), and currency requirements (12 vs 6 month IFR recency). Our logbook automatically adapts the columns and calculations based on your selected format.
Can my flight school use this?
Yes. The School plan is designed for ATOs, DTOs, and flight schools. It includes student logbook management, progress tracking dashboards, instructor assignment, and organization-wide analytics. You can onboard students in bulk and monitor their flight hour accumulation toward their license requirements.
